Setup Huawei MT880 CPE Modem
- Connect your computer to MT880 using an Ethernet cable
- Power on MT880
- Open Internet Explorer and type 192.168.1.1
- You will be prompted to enter the username and password.
User name = admin
password = admin - When you log in to the home page, you can see WAN settings
- Locate the parameter WAN Type and select PPP
- select Connection Type PPPoE.
- Select the box Default Route ‘Enabled’.
- Scroll down the screen and locate Username and Password fields. Enter the username and password provided by your ISP. If you don't have them, you must contact your ISP.
- On left panel select Tools and go to System Settings
- Click on Save and Restart the modem
Manual Steps to Setup Huawei MT882 CPE Modem
- Connect your computer to MT882 using an Ethernet cable
- Power on MT882
- Open Internet Explorer and type 192.168.1.1 on the address bar
- You will be prompted to enter the username and password.
User name = admin
password = admin - Click WAN settings under home
- The WAN type would be PPP
- The connection type would be PPPOE
- Enter the username and password provided by the ISP
- Set the maximum idle time
- Click apply and save
- You may need to restart the Modem for proper working.
