IIBF TRAINING PROGRAM ON TRADE BASED MONEY LAUNDERING
Indian Institute of Banking & Finance is going to conduct a training Program online on TRADE BASED MONEY LAUNDERING for 2 days from 5th and 6th August 2022 from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM. Considering the emerging requirements of the bankers in the ever changing dynamic environment, providing training to bankers in select areas.
Money laundering is an illegal activity carried out by criminals which occurs outside the normal range of economic and financial statistics. Every year, US$ 800 billion to US$ 2 trillion is laundered through legal financial system. This is about 2−5 percent of the global GDP. Trade-based money laundering poses a profound and significant risk to the stability of the Financial system. The integrity of the banking and financial services marketplace depends heavily on the perception that it functions within a framework of high legal, professional, and ethical standards. A reputation for integrity is the one of the most valuable assets of a financial institution. Banks and Financial Institutions to sensitize their officials handling International Banking Business particularly Trade Finance related activities including SWIFT at branches, back offices as well as controlling offices.
