Tourist Officer in Tamilnadu General Service Recruitment

Tamilnadu PSC has invited applications for the post of Tourist Officer in Tamil Nadu General Service. Posting of selected Tourist Officers will be in Tamilnadu. Candidates who have PG in Travel and Tourism or having M.Phil in Tourism can apply. To apply for the Tourist Officer vacancy in Tamilnadu, candidates must be fluent in both English and Tamil languages. They must have the skill to communicate well with both domestic and international tourists. Tamilnadu Public Service Commission notifies the age limit to apply for Tourist Officer vacancies is 18 to 30 years for general category. There is no upper age limit for SC and ST candidates. To be selected as Tourist Officer in Tamilnadu General Service, candidates must go through three stages of examinations; Preliminary examination, main written test, and an interview. Required Educational Qualification for Tourist Officer

According to Tamilnadu PSC notification, the minimum educational qualifications required for candidates to apply for Tourist Officer in Tamil Nadu General Service is given below.

   • Any post graduate degree with one subject on Tourism;

2. Certificate course in Computer on Office Automation awarded by the Directorate of Technical Education or its equivalent;

Provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to the holders of MBA degree.
