Toshiba Mini NB305-N310 is one of the netbook models from Toshiba. Windows XP is installed with this model. Toshiba Mini NB305-N310 included with Atom N450 processor, 1 GB RAM,160 GB hard disk. Let us start with the processor model and its speed. NB305-N310 has Intel ATOM N450 Processor with 1.66 GHz speed and has 1GB DDR2 RAM. The keyboard is 85 key US keyboard with big touchpad.
Issues
One issue with NB305-N310 is the lack of a modem port. It doesn't have SmartCard Reader slot and PC Express Slot. Another important feature missing is Bluetooth. Though this model does not support Bluetooth, one important improvement we can see is in the part of the WiFi adapter. This WiFi adapter supports wireless n technology. Most of the older versions supported just wireless b and g standards. Another major problem faced by hardcore Linux users is the lack of Linux installed models. All NB305 netbooks are coming with Windows XP Service Pack 3. If you want to use Linux on it, you must install it separately. I believe later versions will be installed with Windows 7 by removing XP.
